EES PowerSaver^tmcontrol logic and technology has been developed over a period of 15 years, including support from the US Department of Energy. EES products evolved from indoor lighting sensors and controllers patented in the 1980’s by EES’s predecessor. The first patents for solid state controllers for High Pressure Sodium lamps was filed in 1990 and issued in 1992. Since that time, capabilities have been expanded and additional patents have issued, the most recent in September of 2008.

Throughout that time, consultation with a large number of lighting managers and engineers has resulted in products that assure HID fixtures will “do the right thing” under the variety of circumstances and combinations of circumstances that occur in Industrial and Outdoor Stationary applications.

EES PowerSaver^tmproducts are designed for use with conventional (magnetically ballasted) HID lamps. They consist of sensors, computerized programmable controllers, daylight-visible fault indicators and illumination management devices.

Flexible software architecture enables EES PowerSaver^tm Controllers to be configured to serve to a wide variety of customer needs, with key variables programmable at the customer level. This architecture enables EES products to interface with third party devices and systems.

EES software is configured to manage the specific characteristics of High Pressure Sodium (HPS), Metal Halide (MH) and Mercury Vapor (MV) lighting systems, and provides daylight-visible indication of lamp end-of-service-life and fixture malfunctions.

Controllers:
PowerSaver^tm Controllers are inexpensive and compact, designed to mount on the ballast tray of HID fixtures.

Sensors:
PowerSaver^tmSensors are designed to work with PowerSaver^tm controllers. Sensor sensitivity is programmable at the customer level. PowerSaver sensors are accurate, and do not drift over time.
