Electronic Energy Solutions (EES) PowerSaver^tm logic and technology is simple, inexpensive, proven and durable.  EES PowerSaver^tm products work with conventional (magnetically ballasted) HID lamps of 70-2000 Watts, conserving up to 40% of typical energy consumption through a number of innovations including managing illumination to customer needs or applicable standards.  These intelligent controls save up to 50% of the maintenance costs associated with HID lighting.

Many solutions offered to improve HID lighting efficiency require abandonment of investment in assets and infrastructure supporting in excess of 15.2 million Industrial and 54.9 million Outdoor Stationary HID lamps in the US. This wastes the energy and carbon embodied in our current infrastructure, requiring any new technology to recapture this loss before breaking even.   The fact remains that magnetically ballasted HID lighting is the most cost- and energy-efficient technology available today for higher power (>10,000 lumens) lighting applications.

Organizations are challenged to reduce demand for electrical energy in an energy-challenged world, both from an economic and global warming perspective.  Unmanaged HID lighting systems consume significantly more energy than is required.  HID lighting is an uninterruptible electrical load in most economic sectors. Energy conservation here frees up Base Load power plant capacity for other current and future needs. For example, saving base-load capacity during nighttime hours frees up energy for electric and plug-in hybrid cars.
